If you use Bing Ads (now known as Microsoft Advertising), there may come a time when you need to give access to a third party.

One example of this is when you’ve organised an audit with Bidnamic. One of our Data Analysts will send a request to become a ‘direct manager’ of your account to take a look at your performance data.

Accepting the request will allow our team to analyse your data and use it to demonstrate what Bidnamic’s technology platform can do to help boost your ad performance.

How to accept a Bing Ads (now Microsoft Advertising) access request

Accepting a request is a quick and easy process:

  1. Make sure you’re logged into the relevant Microsoft Advertising account.
  2. Select Account from the top section, then click on Manager Account.
  3. From there, click on Accounts Summary.
  4. Hit Requests and check you’re looking at the Received requests screen.
  5. Select the account and then click on Link to accounts.
  6. Press Accept on the request and then Approve.

You’ll now have accepted the access request and we will have direct manager access to your account, letting us conduct the audit.

How to send an access request

You may need to send an access request - here’s how:

  1. Navigate to your Accounts summary page in the MCC (My Client Center) of Microsoft Advertising.
  2. You’ll see a blue box that says Link to accounts under the Received and Sent boxes - click on it.
  3. Choose whether you’re linking to a Microsoft Advertising manager account or One or multiple Microsoft Advertising accounts.
  4. Click on Next.
  5. Here you’ll be given the choice to pick a Start date (immediately is the common choice), and asked if you want to Set up billing - generally, we’d suggest setting this to Leave current billing settings unchanged unless you’re planning to pay for the ad spend of the account you’re linking to.
  6. You’ll be taken to the Review & confirm page
  7. Once you’ve reviewed the information, click on Send request.
